Best Thing on the Internet Today: Claire Danes Cry Face Project
The star of Homeland and My So-Called Life has been known to tear up from time to time

If you’re like me then you just started watching Homeland because why would you waste your time watching a show in the first season when you won’t know if it’s good yet. And it’s not like people are shy about telling you what shows they think you should watch. People have been telling me to watch Homeland and so now, only now am I watching Homeland. This is how it will work from now on. One great thing about that show (It is great! They were right! Watch Homeland!) is seeing Claire Danes’ face explode across the spectrum of emotions. Her character has a mood disorder (not a spoiler) so she’s all over the place. Her face is like an elastic band.

So, it was with great delight that I discovered The Claire Danes Cry Face Project. It’s a Pinterest board (also available as a Tumblr) set up by user Jess Hulett that posts pictures of Claire Danes crying on film, which, apparently, is something she does a lot (and not just on Homeland). It’s a Claire Danes-specific offshoot of the Cryface phenomenon, which is understandably broader in scope, although not without a healthy helping of Claire Danes. There is something EXTREMELY satisfying about the way Claire Danes’ forehead and eyebrows scrunch up or the way her chin also scrunches up. Easily the Bee Too Tit (BTOTIT = Best Thing on Internet Today).
