Best Thing on the Internet Today: Malakii's

A friend sent me a link on Craigslist just now on Gchat. I was surprised because he usually just sends me links to Action Bronson videos. It was also bizarrely serendipitous that my friend was perusing Craigslist in the section that he was, because the post he sent had found itself in the right hands, the kind of hands who just happen to write a daily column called "Best Thing on the Internet Today."

The post, in the "Writing Gigs" section of Toronto's Craigslist, was made at 6:41am today with the subject line: "writers, journalists bloggers (toronto)." The content was as follows:

"I am looking for writers, journalists, bloggers and columnists who can write an article about my music video and put it in some magazine or newspaper. I will pay according to how big or famous is the magazine or site you deal with! here is the video"

The link leads to the following video:

I've got to admit: this video is a total gem. It's a heady combination of some elements on the cusp of major YouTube meme fandom including dogs, rap music references (calling women bitches), OH AND REALLY RICH MEN TRYING TO BE FAMOUS ON YOUTUBES? What the heck. Also, "screenshots superimposed on an animated background so that it looks like you're driving" could be a pretty funny one.

Anyway, just so you know, Malakii's entire album, Hope, is available for purchase on iTunes.

Hey Malakii, how much are you going to pay me for this?
