StandardTapes 10: Sandro Perri
For our tenth StandardTape, Sandro Perri makes us a wistful mix, appropriately titled "Transmutations."

Sandro Perri told us in October that he doesn’t think he’s ever fully found “that thing you need to make great dance music.” But really, who needs it? His brilliant StandardTape offers a wistful look into a new realm of music, harbouring an intentional crudeness that borders on discomfort; it jumps from traditional horn section to disjointed drum line and back with ease.

The mix is appropriately called “Transmutation.” Says Perri: “There’s a story in there, somewhere.”
