The CBC will be the lead Canadian broadcaster for the 2018, 2020 Olympics
The CBC says the deal signals that it still takes sports broadcasting seriously.

The CBC announced this morning that it has secured the broadcasting rights to the 2018 and 2020 Olympic Games.

As the Star notes, the news comes almost a year after the broadcasting corporation lost its NHL broadcasting rights to Rogers.

The 2018 Winter Games are set to go down in PyeongChang, South Korea; in 2020, athletes from around the will descend upon Tokyo for the Summer Games. The CBC will partner with Bell and Rogers to televise both olympiads.
