The 10 Funniest Moments From the Rob Ford-O'Reilly Factor Interview
Is there a major American network that Ford will turn down? No. No, there isn't.

The Rob Ford major American media tour rages on, and things have taken yet another turn for the delirious. This time he took Fordlandia to one of FOX News’ most controversial shows, the O’Reilly Factor, and allowed himself to be interviewed by O’Reilly Factor correspondent, Jesse Watters. The results are not surprising: yes, another can’t miss trainwreck, but this one arguably more unwiedly than the Matt Lauer interview and Anderson Cooper 360 appearance before it. Here are our ten favourite moments from the segment, listed for their humour and general absurdity.

10. Watters: “Mayor Ford… (you’re) in a little bit of trouble up here.”  Ford: [Wild laughter]

I know the laugh is supposed to exude a certain sense of nonchalant confidence, but cackling like a cartoon villain while sweating profusely in frront of a reporter whose reputation was built on ambush journalism does not seem like the wisest way to start an interview.

9.  Ford: “Did I go out and party sometimes? Yes, I’m only human.” Watters: “Most people don’t smoke crack when they party.” Ford: “On a Friday night, if I know I have nothing planned the next day, maybe once every two months–which it usually is–yeah, I’ll drink. I’ll have a big party.” Watters: “Cut loose?” Ford: “Cut loose.”

Our mayor is the physical manifestation of turn down for what.

8. “And then they started dropping all these videos.

He also sometimes talks like a rapper who pays to have his videos pinned at the top of the WorldstarHipHop page.

7. Watters: “You’re not an Obama supporter, are you?” Ford: “No, no, no, no, I’m not a lefty, I’m a righty.”

This, despite Doug Ford expliclty stating that Rob “loves Obama,” to CNN last week.

7.1 “Come on. Some of the stuff you guys are doing down there, to me, (it’s iike) ‘Are you crazy?!’ C’mon!”

Pot is texting kettle a five-letter word in ALL CAPS right now.

6.  Ford: “I haven’t missed one day in 13 years on council here.”

You can see for yourself here, but according to public records and the Toronto Star, Ford has missed “494 of the 3,334 council votes during the first two years of his term,” which, if you’re wondering, is more than zero.

5. The slovenly wiping of his face at 1:45.

I know jokes about Ford’s appearance and weight are trite, so I will refrain from further comment.

4. Watters: “Are you having fun right now?” Ford: “I’m loving this. I’m loving it.”

Perhaps when Rob leaves politics to become a television talking head, it will read “Rob Ford, mass media masochist” below his face when he appears on screen.

3. Woman on the street: “He was the drunk girl at the party that everyone thinks should leave, and doesn’t.”

I hope she puts that in her SNL packet.

2. Fox News using the FOX NFL Sunday music while showing Ford tackle Councilor Pam McConnell confirms our assertion that Rob looked like Warren Sapp in 1999 on the council floors.

1. Watters: “It’s funny, the guy who set up the interview–the chief of staff–he actually got canned after the interview because they had to cut the budget for the poor mayor’s staff.” O’Reilly: “Yeah, when you’re spending all your money on drugs, there’s not a lot left for salaries.”

Never thought I’d be into O’Reilly the shade king, but dude has jokes

We can’t be certain how Ford feels about this completed segment yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he mad
