They may be somewhat expensive and look slightly ridiculous, but with temperatures soaring into the 30s this week, we reckon anything that can help you cool down goes.
The pants, created by Japanese company, Kuchofuku, feature two battery-powered fans to direct a refreshing flow of air onto your legs and nether regions. The cooling hardware hangs in dedicated pockets sewn into the outer thigh of the pants, and is light enough to not burden the wearer.
The pants are made from a 65 per cent polyester, 35 per cent cotton blend and are available in M, L, 2L and XL sizes, to fit waists from 108 to 129 cm (42.5 to 50.8 inches). Colour choices are somewhat limited though, with only a light khaki green available.
The pants join Kuchofuku’s range of air-conditioned products, which includes shirts, jackets, helmet, cushions and even a bed. Air-conditioned lower limbs don’t come cheap, however, with the fan-cooled trousers priced at $206 USD through Japan Trend Shop.
