Sanya Belyi is a Russian rapper. Alexander Ovechkin is a Russian hockey star who plays for the Washington Capitols.
Sanya Belyi is trying to pull Ovechkin over to the dark side – that is, away from his quaint career in hockey. In fact, it looks like Ovie’s leaving the game altogether, if a new video by Belyi called “Champion” is any indication. Ovie’s found himself a more glamorous profession. He’s a rapper now! And why not? Hip-hop is a perfect fit for the notoriously obstinate hockey player, whose antics in strip clubs and at parties are well-documented. It helps that he’s a really good rapper, too.
Watch the video below. Ovie makes appearances throughout the video, but his rapping begins at 2:55.
