Nothing can put depression in its place quite like a bit of sputtery, Life as a House-type indulgent self-pity.
Especially if its visually and sonically represented. With thunderstorm sounds. And a deliciously sad song that changes daily.
I have to give the makers of Rainy Mood props, because they’ve created a near-perfect webspace for those of us prone to Whartonian bed stints who get texts from friends like: “umm, u ok? y u twittering about ‘breakdowns’ at 5am?” Just click the URL and stare at the soft raindrops and feel awash with relief, because yes: the internet gets you.
Also, if you’re feeling extra blubbery, you can tailor Rainy Mood to your every woe: just go on YouTube and pick a track with the window for Rainy Mood still open. Bon Iver? Sufjan Stevens? Hell, why not go bonkers with some Avro Part?
