BlackBerry Q10 Sales Have Reportedly 'Hit the Ground and Died'
There is virtually no demand for BlackBerry's newest QWERTY smartphone

The BlackBerry Q10

According to reports, virtually nobody wants BlackBerry’s new Q10 smartphone, which is bad news for the Waterloo-based smartphone maker. While BlackBerry hasn’t released sales figures for its latest QWERTY handset or any individual smartphones, quotes from American retailers and BlackBerry executives paint a very dismal picture. As one high-placed executive at BlackBerry quoted anonymously in The Wall Street Journal put it, “I think we’d all say that the Q10, the one we all thought was going to be the savior, just hit the ground and died.” An owner of one of Verizon Wireless’ authorized resellers said, “We saw virtually no demand for the Q10 and eventually returned most to our equipment vendor.”

Did you or anyone you know buy a BlackBerry Q10? If so Toronto Standard would like to speak with you. We promise we won’t make fun of you. Please get in touch mkolberg@torontostandard.com.
