Do Make Say Think: What We're Doing This Weekend (May 10-12)
Hit up Dragonette on the way to the Burroughes, ROM, Harbourfront

Don’t let the dreadful weather dampen your spirits. You have more than enough to leave the house this weekend. Grab your umbrella and wellies, because you’ve got plans this weekend. Bonne weekend!

May 9-12 – SING! Toronto Vocal Arts Festival: Are we ever really satisfied with Glee covers? This acapella festival down at Harbourfront has all of the divas, belters and spotlight stealers you could ever want under one roof. Some events are free, too. Check out the website for listings.

May 10 – The Presets and Dragonette (feat. Classixx): Did you know that Marina Sorbara’s dad used to be the Ontario Minister of Finance? Me neither. Now that you do, check out her electropop band Dragonette tonight at Danforth Music Hall at 8 p.m.. Tickets are $25 and available on Ticketmaster

May 10 – ROM Friday Night Live (Photography): Grab a drink – or five – at the Royal Ontario Museum tonight and explore the photographic image with Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival exhibitions Sebastião Salgado: GENESIS and Between Princely India & the British Raj; The Photography of Raja Deen Dayal. Tickets are $12 and are available at the door. Find more information here

May 11 – Toronto Roller Derby Double Header: Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well. Check out Toronto Roller Derby’s last double header of the year before playoff season. Tickets are $12 in advance and $18 at the door. Forget heels, it’s all about wheels. Find more information here

May 11 – Greek Film and Photo Week Opening Reception: We’re celebrating this week-long photography and film exhibition right here in the Burroughes at 639 Queen West (6th Floor) from 7-9 p.m. – and you’re invited. Find more information on the festival here
