Oct. 13-14 Fighting Game Championship Tournament: Confession: I once convinced my sweet grandmother to buy me Soul Calibur by promising that it wasn’t violent…oops. Thanks to Toronto Top Tiers, I can say that I was honing my skills for this weekend, when more than 100 gamers will vie to become the fighting game champion and win some pretty awesome prize packs. You can still register at the door.
Oct. 12-13 Waterfront Marathon and Health Show: This weekend’s big race brings with it a health and fitness expo full of fitness vendors, demos and sports stars.
Oct 13-14 Garlic Festival: To promote the health benefits and farming of garlic–or an attempt to rid the city of vampires–this festival gathers chefs, farmers and speakers for a pungent time. Come for the eats and stay for the Strongest Garlic Breath contest.
Oct. 13-14 Creativ Festival If you’re crazy about crafts then this festival is where it’s at. Filled with workshops, seminars and all the supplies you could ever need.
Oct. 13- Nov. 4 Chocolate Festival: Cover up your garlic breath with the taste of chocolate. The festival kicks off this weekend with a chocolate high tea and a variety of local tastings dubbed the ‘Tour de Chocolat’
