Drake has been shooting a music video in your area, only this time it’s fact and not some Twitter-bot. The video for Drake’s newly released song “5AM In Toronto” was recently shot in the title city at indoor and outdoor sand-sport facility, Beach Blast. Drake’s last video for “Started From The Bottom” was also chock-full of hometown pride with scenes of city facilities and of the rapper as night manager of a Shoppers Drug Mart, and this video seems to be following in the same vein based on shots of Drake chatting up a lucky lady in front of an indoor beach volleyball court complete with a massive Canadian flag in the background.
Since the images come from Instagram, they’re not as clear as we might like, but there’s a blur of black lights, video babes in bikini tops, and apparently a whole bunch of basketball players walking around the set (b-ball players not pictured.) For now it seems like a classic Drake video, but we have yet to see it all — maybe Drake gets promoted to a full-time Shoppers manager this time around?
