E! To Launch Canadian Pop Culture Quiz Show
Pop Quiz will be filming in Toronto this summer

If you ever wondered how your encyclopedic knowledge of celebrity baby names and George Clooney’s girlfriends would serve you in real life, Bell Media’s E! has your answer. The entertainment channel is in the process of casting hosts and contestants for its new pop-culture quiz show to shoot this summer in Toronto and air in the fall. Fast-paced question rounds will see 10 contestants face-off against each other at the risk of sudden death elimination if they get a question wrong. Two will make it to the final round and compete for the chance to win up to $5000 in cash and prizes.

The show is based on TVA Quebec’s successful LE CERCLE (those who are French-inclined can get an idea of the format by watching old episodes here), is being produced by Montreal’s Pixcom Production and Incendo. Casting for contestants is being done online via julescasting.com. Applicants should be “dynamic, compelling, positive, extroverted” and between the ages of 21 and 35.
