This week’s editon of Newsweek
After 80 years in print, widely-known magazine Newsweek is stopping the presses and transitioning to an all digital format for 2013. Editor-In-Chief Tina Brown and CEO Baba Shetty announced plans Thursday on Newsweek‘s partner site, The Daily Beast.
“In our judgment, we have reached a tipping point at which we can most efficiently and effectively reach our readers in all-digital format,” said the statement.
The digital version will be named Newsweek Global and target readers worldwide.
The magazine’s final print edition will be published on December 31.
Newsweek and The Daily Beast merged in 2010.
