A man from Saskatchewan has been recognized as the world’s top Movember fundraiser. According to the Calgary Herald, Reed Ludwig managed to collect $96,321.
Ludwig was able to achieve the feat of fundraising prowess by convincing the company he works for, MEG Energy, to match any contributions he collected from friends, family, and co-workers.
Humorously, Ludwig’s Movember success also marked the first time that he had grown a moustache in his life. Ludwig’s wife is said to be looking forward to her husband reclaiming his clean-shaven face, though she was extremely supportive of his efforts.
As a nation, Canada managed to raise almost $38-million dollars, making it the single largest contributor to the Movember campaign in the world.
