As Targets across the country start to open their doors, so come the celebrities to help us celebrate these store launchings properly, Hollywood-style. Tonight the Target inside Shoppers World Danforth at Danforth and Victoria Park will welcome Blake Lively, Cory Monteith, and Elisha Cuthbert (along with husband Dion Phaneuf of the Toronto Maple Leafs) for the official opening of the store before it opens for the rest of us lowly non-celebrities on Thursday morning.
While actual famous folk at a Toronto Target opening is fairly surprising, especially when that Target is closer to Scarborough than the city’s core, what’s most surprising is Lively’s invite. Monteith is Canadian, Cuthbert too and lives in Toronto, and Lively is at least married to Vancouver native Ryan Reynolds, but there’s no indication that he will be in attendance (and wouldn’t that be the only reason to bring in Lively, for a Reynolds appearance?) Ryan or no Ryan, you’ll have a chance to catch a glimpse of these three famous faces tonight, and hey, maybe you’ll also see a certain brawny stud hanging stealthily behind Lively.
