It might not feel like spring just yet, but May flowers will be in abundance at the inaugural Toronto Flower Market starting on May 11th at 99 Sudbury St. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Running on the second Saturday of every month until September 14th, the outdoor market will feature fresh cut and potted flowers as well as bedding flowers, all sourced locally from 200 Ontario greenhouses that produce over 80 varieties of cut flowers and 120 types of potted plants. Farmers and cultivators will be on hand from a variety of these greenhouses including Dodd’s Greenhouses and Pioneer Flower Farms. An onsite cafĂ© will also offer visitors baked goods and beverages. Conveniently, the market happens to take place the day before Mother’s Day, so might we suggested taking mom out for a morning coffee and a personalized bouquet? Additional dates and details can be found at TorontoFlowerMarket.ca.
