This was Toronto a week ago.
This is Toronto now.
For this week only, the many cherry blossoms in Toronto’s High Park are open in full bloom. Do your vitamin-D-deprived self a favour and actually take advantage of the weather, just like you swore you would. Sure, summer’s just around the corner, but spring’s all about stopping to smell the cherry blossoms. After all, the only thing Torontonians love complaining about more than their bitter winters are their muggy summers.
You can check the status of the trees’ leaves on this forum, which is basically like Twitter for trees.
So go ahead. Grab hold of a BIXI. Bring your picnic lunch. Snap a few photos (apparently #CherryBlossom is a thing?). Pop a couple of Claritin. Summer may be around the corner– but spring’s already here, baby.
