America’s finest news source released a new Onion Talk to awe and inspire viewers earlier this week. This time they TED send up targeted the corporate social media consultants who the world’s most successful companies. The speaker explains, “My firm was contracted by Cheetos, so we went around the room, talked about ways to leverage their brand online and it turned out none of us had any original ideas. Instead, we gave them a Facebook page. Eventually people ‘liked’ it. These people ‘liked’ Cheetos, even though they had no reason to, because we gave them no incentive. And remember, any teenager could have done what we did for no money and much faster.” Reactions to the video have been mixed, with many commenting that the TED Talk isn’t funny, because it’s ‘true.’ To see for yourself, watch the full video above.
