It looks like the popular social networking site, Facebook, is going through some changes in order to help its users become more connected than ever.
The social network told Mashable that all Groups will now be able to send files. Facebook Groups for Schools, which launched last month incorporates file-sharing up to 25MB, with the exception of music, and executable (.exe) files. The site has also made sure to implement a way for users to report files that may be malicious, inappropriate, or copyrighted.
According to Mashable, this update was made available to a small percentage of groups on Thursday, and will become available to others during the following days. Groups for School page also gives students and faculty members the ability to exchange files, create events and message each other.
This update is among others that the site has made recently.Facebook announced on Wednesday that it is currently working on building its own application centre, including its first paid apps. In the coming weeks, they said users will be able to search from a dashboard that looks much like the Apple App Store.
Many Facebook apps are iOS or Android apps with Facebook integrations, the site will refer users to other app stores in order to actually download them.
