Pretty, subtle, and sweet: pastels are too good to save for spring. With this round up of sugary, soft-hued objects, we’ll want candy all the time.
1. Anton Checkhov’s The Duel underneath the softest lavender cover (at Type Books, 883 Queen St. West). Also, see here for rainbow of novellas.
2. Instant bedroom hair in a Jordan almond-hued jar, courtesy of Kevin Murphy ($22 at select hair salons; we got ours at Barbarella, 891 Dundas St. W).
3. Get your sugar and nostalgia fix with a pack of oversized Rockets (two for $1 at Dollarama).
4. A powdery pink, rubbery fun watch (O’Clock watch, $50 at A2Zane, 753 Queen St. W).
5. Handmade macaron soaps that look good enough to eat ($5.99 each at Jacob and Sebastian, 622 Queen St. W)
6. We scream for ice cream and Chanel’s new sherbet-coloured polish, “June” ($26 at Holt Renfrew and The Bay on Queen).
7. Candy-striped and pretty peach rolls of MT tape ($2.95 for solid, $3.95 for patterned at The Paper Place, 887 Queen St. W).
8. A sparkling new L’eau de Chloe with citrus notes that remind us a bit of childhood lemonade stands ($85 at Sephora, The Bay, and other retailers).
