Geoff Snack is the guy who sends emails requesting all-staff office meetings while all staffers are in fact… in the office. Surely that deserves some kind of reward. From a Steve Reich box set to a stupidly expensive bike, here’s his 2011 holiday wishlist.
1. “This Monitaly jacket makes Barbour look like a K-Way rain coat, and it weighs a tonne. To me, these two factors absolutely translate to a quality garment.” $852 at Nomad.
2. “Steve Reich is probably one of the most important composers of the 20th Century that is still producing today, much better than Philip Glass.” (In his humble opinion.) $400 at Amazon.ca.
3. “Celebrating the centenary of the first appearance of the Col du Galibier at the Tour De France, this jersey is also made of super-breathable wool. You’d think it would be itchy, but it is not.” $165 (USD) at La Bicicletta.
4. “Sydney makes some of the best-fitting apparel in Toronto, heck – Canada. You will often hear some great, old ’80s punk when shopping at his Queen Street storefront, which is nice.” $895 at Sydney’s.
5. “I currently ride a 2008 Cervelo R3 with C-4 30mm aluminum clinchers. Though I’d happily accept the 2012 S5 – however, I’d likely replace the 3T wheelset with a nice set of Zipps.”
