I was convinced that tights-for-pants would die out as quickly as gauchos, but it seems this form of barely-there legwear is in for the long haul.
In 2009, a few years into the siege, and in an obviously evil attempt at adversary conversion, brands like Black Milk began printing leggings with interesting and–dare I say–covetable photograph prints. Some of the most enticing pairs are the galaxy prints straight from NASA. Ranging from pearly nebula dust to stellar nurseries surrounded by inky dark matter, these prints are enough to make this astronomy nerd gush. For the last few years I’ve watched girls strut through the city–probably feeling totally badass–in a pair of galaxy leggings (usually paired with killer shoes). But is this enough to make me a believer, let alone a practicing member of the tights-as-pants community? That’s yet to be seen…maybe in another year.
Image Via: Black MilkThese starry bottoms seem to have quite the following judging by the mass amount of customer photos underneath each pair. So I’m wondering: are you a loyal follower, converted believer or complete opponent of this stellar trend?
