Deadmau5 is selling his Nyan Cat Ferrari
All proceeds from the sale are going to be donated to The Toronto Humane Society

No longer satisfied with his Purrari, Toronto-based electronic producer Deadmau5, aka Joel Zimmerman, has decided to sell his Nyan Cat-covered 458 Ferrari Italia.

The sports car was listed on Craigslist for a cool $380,000 yesterday, before being quickly pulled by the website. Deadmau5 says he is in the process of re-listing it on AutoTrader.

According to the producer, the proceeds from the sale will go to The Toronto Humane Society.

If you’re worried that Toronto will have one less garishly painted car on its streets, fret not; Zimmerman says he plans to upgrade to a McLaren 650s. No word yet on the planned paint job, but if his love for Mr Meowington is any indication, it will be another cat-covered car.

He has also promised to go on a coffee run with whomever purchases the Ferrari (airfare and lodging for those outside of Toronto not included in the price of the car).

Toronto Standard will continue to monitor the situation closely, and report on any future developments.
