Maple Leafs fans—and Torontonians in general—can breathe a sigh of relief.
MLSE announced this morning that Maple Leaf Square will not be renamed Ford Square.
Instead, according to the Toronto Star, the square will be renamed to “Ford Fan Zone at Maple Leaf Square.” A slight if unwieldy improvement, if you ask us.
The new name does have one advantage: no one will think the square was named in honour of Rob and Doug Ford. [via Toronto Star]
