A new poll by Forum Research has John Tory with his most significant lead over Olivia Chow to date.
The poll, which was conducted yesterday, found that 20 per cent of likely voters would vote for Chow on October 27th. In contrast, 43 per cent of likely voters said they would vote for John Tory.
The poll comes after Chow had a less than ideal finish at the ArtsVote debate that happened yesterday afternoon. It’s also her worst showing in a Forum poll.
That said, Dr. Lorne Bozinoff, the president of Forum Research, makes a good point regarding the poll. “With basically the length of an entire federal election campaign to go before the election, it’s too early to say either of the two leaders has an insurmountable advantage.”
In other words, it could still be a tight race if Chow adapts a better strategy. The question is whether she will.
