As Toronto Public Library Board prepares to meet tonight and consider the KPMG's recommendations we look at TPL by the numbers.

Today at 5 pm, the Toronto Public Library Board will be meeting to consider the KPMG Core Service Review recommendations for the city’s library system. We offer a breakdown of TPL’s services and some handy comparisons.

Total number of branches: 99

Number of branches in Etobicoke: 13

Number of Tim Hortons in Etobicoke: 39*

Public ranking of the library as a priority, according to KMPG’s public consultation: 8

Public ranking of police as a priority: 10

Dollar amount of municipal portion of Toronto Public Library 2010 budget: $170,229,047
