Now Available: Canned Air from Paris, NYC, Berlin
Etsy artist's souvenir meant to “relieve stress, cure homesickness… and help fight nostalgia”

Feeling suffocated by your city? Need a whiff of somewhere else? Breathe easy: Now you can order air over the Internet! Prague-based artist and Etsy retailer Kirill Rudenko is offering hand-canned air from Paris, New York City, Berlin, Singapore, Prague and Riga. Advertised as a great gift for friends or family, fresh air from your favourite city supposedly “relieves stress, cures homesickness and helps fight nostalgia.” A half-pint sized can goes for $9.99 USD (plus taxes and shipping) on Etsy. But, you know you’re not getting ripped off because Rudenko’s Etsy page points out that they have established suppliers in each city and receive a few hundred gallons of fresh air each week. So there.

If they really want something fresh, they should look for some suppliers in Druidia.

No word yet about Toronto air being canned for sale. (Please, no jokes about our air smelling bad. It’s lazy humour and I won’t stand for it.) [via The Pop-Up City]
