People on the Internet love Alison Brie, star of Mad Men and Community, almost as much as they love memes and GIFs. Indeed, she is often the subject of these memes and GIFs. So it was natural that when Paul F. Tompkins had Brie as a guest on his Internet talk show Speakeasy that he would get her to create some original Internet content for Brie’s Internet savvy fans to consume.
In one segment Tompkins had her recreate popular memes like Grumpy Cat and Overly Attached Girlfriend with “the canvas of [her] face.”
And in another, Brie used a series of props to create fodder for unsexy GIFs to counterbalance the deluge of sexy GIFs that we contend with everyday.
This is all in good fun, but how long before the Internet is just a vortex of injokes about itself? What’s that? It already is that? Good point.
