February 7-10 Toronto Sportsmen’s Show Pretend it’s not snowing outside and immerse yourself in camping, fishing, boating, and hiking with over 500 exhibitors at the Direct Energy Centre. Catch the dog show, let loose in the outdoor adventure zone, or become one with our feathered friends (à la Rob Ford) with the birds of prey exhibit.

February 8-10 The 8 Fest Back for its sixth year, this mini film fest is North America’s only festival that showcases all forms of small-gauge film. Check out films shot in Super 8, 8mm, 9.5, and loops all in their original format including small-gauge films’ history and its use in contemporary work.

February 8-10 Canadian Motorsports Expo Check out Canada’s seventh annual racing show this weekend and shop around for racing supplies and souvenirs or meet your favourite racers (and their cars). This year the Trailer Park Boys will be at the show to promote their upcoming film SwearNet, take some questions, and sign autographs.

February 9 The Erotic Arts and Crafts Fair Get your DIY sex-play on at the Gladstone Hotel this Saturday at a sexy fair presented by Come As You Are sex shop on Queen Street West. Shop the erotic creations of knitters, zinesters, card-makers, and other crafty artists, and maybe find a special one-of-a-kind Valentine’s Day gift for your special someone.

February 9 Fuzz Wax Bar 1st Anniversary Toronto’s first wax bar is celebrating their first anniversary! Visit Fuzz Wax Bar on Queen Street West between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. this Saturday to drink some free hot chocolate and partake in raffles with several giveaways, including free waxing for a year.

February 9 5th Annual Birthday Breast Fest Charity Event Founded in 2008 in memory of Laurie Jean Chant-Sammy who passed away from breast cancer in 2004, this annual event is in its fifth year and will be bringing the benefit show to the Hard Rock Cafe this Saturday. The event features entertainment from illusionists and musicians alike with all proceeds going to breast cancer research and treatment at the Princess Margaret Hospital.

February 9 Toronto’s Largest Singles Anti-Valentine’s Day Party Meet Market Adventures wants to help you hook-up this Valentine’s Day at Maison Mercer. The night includes interactive activities like icebreaker games to get singles mingling as well as food, door prizes, and giveaways (so no matter what happens, you won’t be leaving empty handed).

February 9-10 Lunar Fest Presented by CIBC, this three-day festival celebrates the Lunar New Year with Asian arts and culture. Take a staycation at the Harbourfront Centre this weekend by immersing yourself in the lantern jungle, trying Lunar New Year inspired dishes, and skating under the moonlight.

February 9-10 Sweets & Treats Food Tour Roam the city for candies and chocolates with Foodies On Foot as you make your way from one Valentine’s Day themed food stop to the next. On the tour, you’ll be able to sample handmade sugary treats that range from the overly fancy to the nostalgically kid-friendly — welcome to the adult version of Candy Land.

February 9-10 Harlem Globetrotters The stars of the Harlem Globetrotters are back in Toronto and this time the name of the game is audience participation with this year’s “You Write the Rules” feature. Fans have the power to decide on the rules of the game and watch as their suggestions play out in front of them. The 2013 tour also features pink uniforms and basketballs to promote breast cancer awareness.
