Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran since 1989, may or may not have some interest in nuclear technology, but after successfully launching his Twitter account (almost 3,000 tweets, over 4,000 followers, and not following a single person), has taken to Instagram. The dictator has sent out four photos of himself since joining. Kind of boring, as far as propaganda goes — praying, standing around with officials, sitting over a Koran. It has been three years since he shut down Internet service after Iranians used Twitter and photo-sharing services to coordinate mass protests and tell the word about the Iranian regime’s brutal crackdown. Khamenei’s first Instagram photo. Exciting stuff._______
