Man clipped by a train at Osgoode Station; no more freezing rain warning; Khloe gets the ‘X'? Your Morning Cable

Man clipped by subway at Osgoode Station

A man was clipped by a TTC subway train at Osgoode Station, after he reportedly stood at the edge of the platform on Monday afternoon.

CP24 reports the victim, believed to be a 61-year-old Toronto resident, suffered from a serious, life-threatening head injury. Emergency crews attended the scene, resulting in a 30 minute subway service delay between St. George and Union stations.

Police told the news station the man may have been urinating onto the subway tracks when he was hit by the car.

No more freezing rain warning

A freezing rain warning is no longer in effect for some areas of Toronto and southern Ontario, as of 5 a.m. on Tuesday.

CityNews reports Environment Canada cancelled the alert for Halton, Peel, Hamilton and Toronto regions, but it remains in effect for Durham and York regions.

However, this does not mark an end for thawing temperatures. Toronto’s Tuesday forecast predicts a 3 C high, and for temperatures to cool down to -2 C by that evening.

Khloe gets the ‘X’?

The New York Post is reporting Khloe Kardashian will not be asked back to co-host the third season of X-Factor with Mario Lopez.

FOX and the X-Factor producers have yet to confirm these reports, but the Post writes Lopez will be asked to return. Kardashian made her broadcast network hosting debut in the role, and famously kicked off her first episode with a wardrobe malfunction. FOX reality chief Mike Darnell previously told Entertainment Weekly she was “new” and “did okay.”

But Entertainment Weekly also reports that with the show’s ratings down in its second season, the producers may be looking for ways to cut costs. Already, it has been announced that season two judge Britney Spears will not be returning for the next season of X-Factor.

Will Khloe get the ‘X’, and not in a good way? Or, will the loss of connection to the Kardashian family result in even lower ratings for the show?
