Smartphones have become such an integral part of our lives that losing one can be devastating. Fortunately for one local Torontonian, Reddit user copeling, a nine year old boy named Julian not only found and returned his lost iPhone, he also saved the phone from a watery death.
Copeling posted the email he received from Julian on the Toronto sub-reddit. In the email, Julian states, “I am Julian, and I found your iPhone on the 28th of August, in the lake on the other side of Centre Island.” He goes on to say how he saved the phone, “I put the phone in some rice. One of the grains got stuck. And we got it out with tweezers. The phone is NOT DAMAGED.”
Humorously, the honest young man goes on to admit that he wanted to keep the phone, “My mom peeked at an email from Holt Renfrew. It was my Mom’s and Dad’s idea. NOT MINE, because I wanted to keep the phone! :P” The next time I lose my phone, I hope a thoughtful and kind person like Julian finds it. [Reddit]
