Will Rob Ford stop coaching football?
Mayor Rob Ford may stop coaching the high school football team he has steared since 2001, in order to pay more attention to his municipal workload.
Doug Holyday, the city’s deputy mayor, told CityNews “he might be considering not doing that” on Wednesday, citing past criticism and public concerns about time management. Ford has coached the Don Bosco Eagles since 2001, and the team reached the finals last November.
However, his tenure as a coach has not been met without controversy. In Nov. 2012, the Don Bosco team reportedly took a re-routed TTC mini-bus to return back to school after a game.
Still, Holyday told the news station, “I don’t want to tell the mayor he can’t coach football but I think he’s got to be careful that he’s not seen to be doing that when there are duties to be done at city hall.”

A new municipal survey on Toronto traffic aims to find solutions to downtown congestion.
680 News reports the survey targets the areas betweenBathurst and Jarvis streets, south ofQueen Street. At a drop-in public session at Metro Hall on Wednesday, transit bottlenecks were amongst the top complaints.
Const. Clint Stibbe tells the news station that congestion would be even worse without public transit, but “things like illegal parking,” “pedestrians stepping out when they’re not supposed to,” and wrong-way cyclists can be fixed to solve transit woes.
The survey, which can be found online at Toronto.ca, will run until April 10.

The sometime rapper and full-time entrepreneur hits the top of the list with a net worth of $580-million, while Jay-Z takes the second slot with $475-million. Dr. Dre ranks third with $350-million, Birdman is in fourth with $150-million, and 50 Cent completes the top five with an estimated worth of $125-million.
