If you’ve had the pleasure of riding the TTC’s shiny new streetcar, you might noticed something odd about how it pronounces “Spadina”.
The new streetcar, it turns out, is fond of calling the city’s famous thoroughfare “Spadeena”.
“It’s a computer glitch,” explains Brad Ross, one of the TTC’s spokespeople. “A lot of people are commenting. We are working on it.”
There’s no ETA on when the glitch will be fixed, but one hopes that it will be addressed soon; a city like Toronto can’t stand for a robotic voice butchering the names of its most hallowed spots. [via National Post]
