2010 Weingut Müller Yonder Velt Grüner Veltliner, Kremstal, Austria, $12.85 #275131
A new addition to the LCBO general list, Yonder Velt grüner is a solidly flavoured, fresh and zesty example, with a fair bit of flesh and orchard fruit flavour.
A pleasantly bitter finish lingers on gently with above average persistence.
Best: 2012.

Pairing: Bay scallop ceviche.
2010 Boutari Moschofilero Mantinia, Greece $11.95 #172387
Greece’s signature aromatic white, moschophilero is an infinitely drinkable, fresh and lovable wine. Boutari’s has pleasant floral-orange/lemon blossom aromas alongside pear and apricot, flavours. The palate is lightweight and vibrant, yet ultimately soft, well balanced and flavourful.
Very good length.

2010 Salterio Albariño, DO RÃas Baixas, Spain $17.95 #2774
Clean, fresh, aromatic and varietally spot on, Salterio’s albariño has wonderful orchard fruit – peach, apricot aromas matched to fresh sweet green herbs, wet granite and apple/cherry blossom. The palate is mid-weight, balanced, crisp and dry, with excellent flavour intensity.
A wine to enjoy all summer long.
