One of the biggest market shares on the world wide web is for genre of “white people rapping comically and/or atypically.” This includes stuff like Karmin and the myriad of ironic acoustic covers that tend to go viral with alarming speed.
Now we have a Canadian companion. “Out For a Rip” is a song that celebrates the lifestyle of small-town Ontarians with rap. Anyone with friends North of Toronto will recognize the lingo, the darts, and the flannel-led, mudding swagger. The song–the work of B Rich of the rap group Shark Tank–is an authentically Canadian bit of Internet ephemera.
