A German judge will visit Luka Rocco Magnotta in a Berlin jail on Tuesday to discuss the plan for his extradition back to Canada, where he will face charges of first-degree murder, among others.

Magnotta was nabbed by German police in an internet cafe on Monday, after a near-week long search, where he was allegedly surfing porn, and articles about himself. The “body parts” murder suspect’s response to the arrest was co-operative, saying, “Okay, you got me.”

CBC News is reporting that Magnotta will be visited by a judge instead of showing up for an appointed time in court. Following their meeting, the judge will determine Magnotta’s fate prior to his extradition, and what prison he will be held in until that time, a vacancy that could last for months. Chief Supt. Stefan Redlich of the Berlin police said the 29-year-old opted to stay in solitary confinement during his time in prison.

Eaton Centre suspect has alleged gang ties

Christopher Husbands, the 23-year-old man who turned himself in to police for Saturday’s Eaton Centre shooting, has been charged with first-degree murder and six counts of attempted murder.

Toronto police identified Husbands as a father, and previously-charged offender for an unrelated incident, who was under house arrest for other charges. At a news conference Monday, police said the shooting was more of a personal dispute, and not gang-related, although they confirmed that the gunman, and the victim, 24-year-old Ahmed Hassan, had ties to the same gang.

Lead homicide investigator Det. Sgt. Brian Borg said this “targed shooting” was “not a random act of violence against the public,” which, unfortunately, “inflicted a substantial amount of human damage.” Borg continued on to say that there was just one gunman, and that the police are not looking for any other suspects at this time.

Meanwhile, the Eaton Centre posted an estimated loss of $4.5 to $5-million in sales, as a result of Sunday’s mall closure.

Gwyneth’s accidental n-word tweet scandal

Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow used the “N” word on Twitter to refer to a popular Jay-Z and Kanye West song while enjoying the Watch the Throne tour stop in Paris on Friday. Paltrow, who is reportedly best friends with Beyonce and her husband, was called onstage to perform a special remix of “N**gas in Paris,” which was performed an unprecedented 11 times in a row.

The aforementioned tweet featured a photo of the Iron Man star dancing on stage with the famed rappers, with the caption, “Ni**as in paris for real.” Classic Gwyneth. Though some blogs and news outlets criticized Paltrow for using a racial slur, the actress brushed off the criticism, writing, “Hold up. It’s the title of the song!”

Smooth move, Ferguson.
