Japanese company Suidobashi has introduced a 12-ft tall robot called Kurata, complete with joystick-operated arms, legs and torso (it can also be operated via an iphone app on the 3G system).  It has a twin gatling gun and launcher, which “from time to time it will hit its target.” Those are pretty solid odds. In addition, this gasoline-fueled menace will travel of up to 10 km an hour and has a unique feature called “Smile Shot” which will track your facial expressions and fire BB’s when you smile. The death bot retails for a cool $1,342,600. Its promo video cheerfully reminds us to “be careful not to cause a shooting spree by smiling too much”. There is no smoking in the Kurata and it is imperative to exit the vehicle if you “smell something strange”. Like napalm in the morning?
