China’s coming. Okay, it’s been coming for a while. But now that Frank Gehry’s contributed his architectural vision to Hong Kong’s new upscale apartment complex, the Opus Hong Kong, China’s got it. (Meaning: China is acceptably cool now.) The complex itself is situated among the greenery of Hong Kong’s hilly Peak, and consists of just 12 apartments (one apartment per floor), each with its own unique layout, all with an incredible, twisting, panoramic view of the city.
Want to pretend you have enough money to live in a Frank Gehry structure? (The architect’s only other residential project exists in Lower Manhattan… Good luck with that one too.) Pretending you’re rich is fun sometimes. So why not indulge? Opus Hong Kong has provided a fairly high res 360 camera view of the beautiful sight that is to beheld if you’re hanging out on the balcony of its new complex. With both a night and day view, it’s almost enough to make you want to sell your first born child and put a down payment on one of the beautiful apartments. Or, just like, go to Hong Kong.
