Nov. 16-17 eBay Holiday Pop-Up Shop: Browse through eBay’s holiday designer collection and a variety of new and used luxury goods pulled from the site. Nov. 16-17 Darryl’s Hard Liquor and Porn Film Festival: Raunchy, risque and interesting; this festival showcases short films from international filmmakers on the subject of sex. Prizes for those who “dress like a porn star.” Obviously, 19+
Nov. 17 Frida Kahlo Unibrow Bash: Celebrate Mexican artist Frida Kahlo (currently being showcased at the Art Gallery of Ontario) with drinks, dancing and unibrow shenanigans. A makeup artist will be on hand in case nature didn’t bless you with a fine art-worthy unibrow.
Nov. 18 Board Game Bizarre: This event asks the existential question: “What’s better than drinking and board games?” How about doing it for a good cause? 75 percent of the night’s profits are donated to Royal Seed Needy Home in Ghana, Africa. So when you’re hung-over at work Monday morning, tell them it was for charity.
Nov. 17-18 Cavalcade of Lights & Santa Claus Parade: A night of lights and music on Saturday followed by Santa Claus coming to town and bringing along 25 different themed floats on Sunday.
