Bankers, stockbrokers, lawyers, and other high powered finance types are adding a new position to their personal payroll, and the going rate will shock you. Sober Coach is the newest addition to the long list of service people (think chefs, tutors, personal trainers and chauffeurs) working for the rich and privileged. Forget buzz kill friends or designated driver duty to keep us in check, for the seriously addicted, maintaning sobriety is now up to the $1900-per-day services of a professional. Sober coaches have been around for a while in Hollywood, but now wealthy finance types who’s long hours and stressfull work environments drive them to alcohol and prescription pill abuse can also use this last resort service.

One company offering the service is called Sober Champion and, according to The Daily Beast, offers “a round-the-clock coach to come live in [your home], sit with [you] during meals, travel with [you], and generally embed themselves into every aspect of [your life]–from 14 days to three months, with a follow-up period lasting months to years.” However, there is no proof that these type of custom companions are any more effective than traditional drug rehabilitation methods. And besides, how is the sober companion in the boardroom going to instill confidence in potential clients?

Actually, forget we asked that and hire us as your Sober Coach today!
