Brush off your wigs and pull out your face paint, frontman Gene Simmons and his fellow kings of rock KISS have announced a Canadian tour this summer to promote their latest album, Monster. Last fall’s new release and the band’s 20th studio album, Monster harkens back to KISS’s original rock roots and was recorded using analogue equipment. Despite luke-warm reviews for the album, fans will surely be happy to turn out for old favourites like Detroit Rock City and Rock N Roll all Night, and impressive show stunts the likes of fire breathing and flying drum kits.
The tour itself will kick off on the West Coast this summer with a show in Victoria on July 5th and end in August on in St. John’s. A Toronto show is scheduled for July 26th at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. Pre-sales started today and those looking for a trip down memory lane should be prepared to shell out anywhere from $30 for the lawn to $210 for prime pit views.
