As part of the Love Letters 2 Strangers project, a group of people in Edmonton are getting ready to hand out hand-made Valentine’s Day cards to strangers. This past Saturday a local photographer Ashley Green held a workshop at the local library to create the cards which will be handed out to people on the streets of Edmonton. The group will take three days to hand and post cards anonymously to people around the city. Sixty people showed up, and 1,034 one-of-a-kind love letters were made. Green said, “Maybe you don’t have a significant other, or maybe you’re a little bit bitter about Valentine’s Day,” it’s all about spreading the cheer. Green says that, next year, she’d like to expand the project to Calgary and Drumheller. Could the love spread all the way to Toronto?
