Tonight, Canadian viewers will have a chance to see the first episode of supermodel Naomi Campbell’s new show The Face. Much like America’s Next Top Model, the show will be focusing on photo shoots and runway shows. Naomi will be joined by models Karolina Kurkova and Canada’s Coco Rocha as model mentors. Also, former ANTM judge Nigel Barker will be hosting the show. As for the competitors, after a world-wide search for potential models, one out of the twelve girls selected is a Canadian.

Last week, Toronto Standard contributor Max Mosher tackled the topic of modelling reality TV and fame. Can a TV show really mould a girl into a true top model? ANTM hasn’t been successful, but maybe the powers of Naomi Campbell will make it come true.
