As if by some great karmic justice, Drake was spoon-fed a taste of humble pie when he was denied access to the Heat dressing room in the aftermath of the Miami’s repeat NBA championship win last night. ESPN 106.3 posted the video.
According to a tweet from reporter Alex Kennedy, Drizzy tried to get into the locker room to join in the post-game revelry but is stopped by security because he didn’t have a media pass. “I am media,” the saddest-man-alive-in-that-moment managed to mutter. You can see a devastated look take over his face – the same look that envelopes your run-of-the-mill Degrassi-alumni when they get barred from an MMVA afterparty. For a brief moment he was no longer multi-platinum recording artist Drake, but merely Aubrey.
Started from the bottom now we’re… where exactly?
Don’t worry, after the initial denial, Drake ascended back to his rightful place at the right hand of greatness. Later that night, Drizzy shared the spotlight with champs LeBron James and Dwyane Wade as they ordered celebratory pizza to the stage at Club Story in Miami.
