Stressed about planning a wedding?
A new web app lets the bride and groom-to-be create their own social website that connects guests with each other before the big day.
The app, called Weduary, allows users to create a modern-looking website, as well as give each of their guests their own profile.
It the couple to invite guests using Facebook, tell guests which of their Facebook friends will also be attending the event, even points out who may have common interests and mutual friends.
If guests are attending alone, they can check out the Flirt section, where they can see other singles who are going.
In addition to connecting guests, the site provides details about the wedding, including date and time, hotel, and gift registries.
“We’re giving people a cheat sheet on who to meet at these big wedding events,” said Brit Morin, CEO of Brit & Co., the digital lifestyle brand behind Weduary.
About 70 percent of brides create a personal wedding website, according to a survey conducted last year by websites TheKnot.com and WeddingChannel.com
