Can Unmentionables Remain....Unmentioned?
La Senza has a huge weekend panty party

Despite the rain on Saturday, King Street’s restaurant and lounge Brassaii played host to a panty party of epic proportions. Over 875 people attended the La Senza Showstopper event and took part in cups of candy, pink drinks and free panties.

The party acted as a launch for the brand’s new “Show-Off” bra ($32.50) with young ladies making the rounds in the room modelling the sassy new unmentionables.

Show-off indeed.

Boobs were everywhere. Buttcheeks too. If this were any other event, I’d have something to say about all the bare skin coming so close to my sour candy and Jordan Stacey-crafted cocktail “The Pink Lacey” (a delicious concoction made with vodka, cranberry and pineapple). As it were, when you attend a party hosted by La Senza, hopefully you know what you’re getting in to.

Looking like more of a private party at some hot club, Showstopper was open to anyone and everyone who wanted to sample the new line and ogle some unmentionables. Guests (including bloggers Jessica Denomme from Flats Are For Quitters and Jennifer Lui of Lucky Penny) were dancing, boozing and flinging lacy pink drawers at each other into the wee hours of the night.

Could I have done without the near-nakedness? Of course. I’ve never looked at a lingerie model and thought “Wow that bra seems to really be doing its job. I should pick it up as soon as possible so that my own chest can be as finely supported.” But in the end it was a pulsating party with great music and fun attendees.

While I will say that crawling out of a party with a purse full of panties in no way feels like an accomplishment, once I got home and took inventory of my conquests I decided that La Senza panty parties have become my new weakness.
