Designer Nicolas Ghesquière’s recently announced departure from Balenciaga means that his fall 2012 Egyptofunk collection will become even more of a collector’s edition than it already was. Presented at Fall Fashion Week 2012, the collection contained a variety of retro graphic designs printed on bulky sweatshirts. 

During Spring Fashion Week, these sweatshirts and corresponding t-shirts appeared on several attendees and high-fashion connoisseurs. Considering the shape and print of these pieces, could they possibly be practical for everyday wear or are they are destined to collect dust in the closets of the rich and fabulous?
