If you’re on the west end and need to get downtown, or if you’re downtown and need to get to the west end, you may want to change your plans. There is currently no subway service between Ossington and Keele stations.
According to the TTC, “The tracks are being blocked” at Dundas West station, and due to safety concerns, the TTC has been forced to shut down subway service on that part of the Bloor-Danforth line.
The photo you see above is one I snapped at Keele and Bloor as I was forced to walk from Jane to Dundas West.
The TTC had estimated that the obstruction would be cleared by noon. However, it has since changed that estimate, saying, “Please disregard the expected completion time for the delay at Dundas West Station. There is currently no expected clearing time.” Dundas West has been closed since 8 a.m.
As a result of the obstruction, expect delays on alternate streetcar and bus routes. The 505 streetcar, for instance, was packed both ways.
